Police Chases

While fascinating, they typically either end in a boring manner or the news cuts away before the good stuff happens

Our human nature is so that we feel compelled to watch these until they play out, but how often is the finale as good as the chase itself...quite often it's a complete let down. Like watching a really good movie only to have it soured by a piss poor ending.

And yet we never learn our lesson.....

So why do we watch?

Because we don't want to miss something in that rare instance something does go down at the end....yet half the time the news has moved on to their regularly scheduled program.

For instance, last evening there was a 3 hour police chase involving a Bentley and someone who obviously had money. We all stood glued to the TV waiting for end....waiting to see who this "celebrity" was. Only to be disappointed when the news decided at 12:07 AM to sign off so they could show a repeat of South Park. Come to find out, the poor bastard shot himself in the head shortly after and we missed it! What good is watching this train wreck if we are going to miss what we came for?

You're already wasted tons of tax payer money chasing this guy around town so why waste our time too! I say give the public what they want....

The Monday after Super Bowl Sunday!

I'm pretty sure this should be a national holiday...The National Day of Recovery

There's a chance that this one particular Monday is one of the most unproductive of the year....even if you're not horribly hung over, you spend half the day talking about the game, the party you were at and the commercials.

Pro athletes who think that god not only watches their sport, but also roots for their team and intervenes to help them win

This iPeeve was inspired by this article I saw the day of the Super Bowl:
Tampa's Sacred Heart Catholic Church is filled with Steelers fans. Saw a Terrible Towel being dipped in holy water.

And then listening to these players talk during pre-game, you wold think that god was a super linebacker who single handedly carried them into the Super Bowl.

Now, I could really care less what your belief system is, but anyone in their right mind can hear the absurdity in all this.

Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that there definitely is a god...is he really taking Sunday's off to watch football? Doesn't that go against some commandment? And how is it that he seems to root for different teams every year?

Just a thought, but maybe he's got better things to do.

I honestly think that we need to alter the process of who gets drivers licenses or not...test them on questions such as how to merge properly, what kind of drivers should be in the far left lane and how to properly drive in the rain/snow. I guarantee at least half the population would fail these basic questions and thus would not get their drivers license. It would seriously help the traffic problems in this country if we thinned the herd a bit.

I know this is very site specific, but anyone who uses twitter probably has someone they follow who talks incessantly about how many followers they have.

Alright we get it, you have a a lot of spammers, make money at home and "social media gurus" following you...tell us something interesting before you lose this follower.
